Who Are We?
Time and Motion Films is a video production company based in the North East of England. We offer a comprehensive range of video production services, from pre-production planning through to final delivery and marketing, as well as freelance camerawork and editing.
Time and Motion Films’ philosophy is to create visually beautiful video, which will engage the audience from the outset and prevent viewer drop off. Our breathtaking imagery is captured using state of the art equipment and specialist cinematography techniques.
PLANNING
We will work alongside you, to understand your needs and aims. Our pre-production service includes scripting, location reconnaissance and discussion of the end goals for your project.
MAKING
At Time & Motion Films, we use the latest equipment for video and sound capture, including our specialised services, such as aerial filming, timelapse and motion control cinematography.
DELIVERING
Our post production facilities ensure your product receives high quality editing, colour grading and graphics. We can then output the product to your chosen specifications.

Our Services
Video Production
At Time and Motion Films, we offer a wide range of video production services, catering for the needs of most businesses and individuals. From web based content through to advertising or event capture, we offer bespoke solutions to our clients.
Timelapse
Timelapse photography can create a video of action unfolding over a prolonged period of time. Time and Motion Films has a wealth of experience in shooting timelapse sequences, using our specialised camera setups.
Aerial Photography
We have many years experience in aerial filming and photography, using remote controlled drones to capture stunning 4K footage. We are fully qualified with the CAA, and have operated drones on many TV and film productions, in the UK and abroad.
Freelance Camera Work
We can provide freelance camera, lighting and audio services to all levels of productions. Filming on broadcast specification cameras, we have had worked for national and international TV productions, corporate films and sporting events.
Motion Control
We use specialised camera rigs to bring a new dimension to your films. Our state of the art Kessler Cinedrive and Second Shooter systems can be implemented for accurate, reproducible camera movements when shooting real time video and timelapses.
Medical Services
Time and Motion Films offers medical services to the film and TV industry. With a practising A&E doctor as part of the team, we’ve provided medical support to crews filming in remote areas. One crew member, multiple roles – medic, timelapser and camera op.

The Team
Adam Gilroy
DirectorAdam’s main interests lie in the image capture and editing, enjoying the use of technology to help create stunning visuals.
Adam graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Media Production, with his graduation film, “Northumberland“, receiving awards for the cinematography. He has gone on to shoot for TV and film productions, both in the UK and abroad.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys playing golf, watching golf and filming golf…
Josh Cooley
Camera OperatorJosh initially joined up with Time and Motion Films for a work experience module, as part of his Media Production degree. Proving his worth (and helped by an unhealthy interest in timelapse), Josh has stayed with the company since his graduation, developing his skills behind the camera.
His other attributes are in lifting things, carrying things and putting them down again. And occasionally digging holes in National Parks.
Since starting to film with Time and Motion, Josh now owns a selection of warmer clothes…
PRODUCTION VALUES
Our use of the latest camera, drone and motion control technology is at the heart of our productions.
Having such equipment “in house” enables us to utilise it on all our productions, without the need to pass on hire costs to the client.
This also ensures our production values remain consistently high, whatever the project.
